Coaching Skills for Recovery – NEW

Coaching is a way of having conversations that are safe, supportive, and sometimes challenging.  It can often be a thought provoking and creative process and can help you to maximise your personal or professional potential.  This can have a significant impact not only on you, but also on teams, service users, and loved ones.

Recent research points to the huge benefits to people who have coaching, particularly at times of change.  People might see a coach to improve how they relate to their circumstances to achieve their goals or to explore new ways of managing situations and relationships.  Coaching is rapidly becoming an integral part of our culture and to embrace this fully we can learn to engage in coaching behaviours and approaches.

This course aims to introduce you to the many benefits of coaching and to equip you with coaching based skills.  This interactive day will help you to explore ways of integrating these skills into your daily life to help support well-being.

By the end of this course, you will;

  • Develop an understanding for what coaching is and what coaching isn’t
  • Will be able to identify the benefits of coaching in a variety of environments
  • Have had the opportunity to explore and practise coaching-based skills
  • Cultivate an appreciation for the process of coaching, from introduction to evaluation
  • Consider and reflect on how coaching-based skills might fit into your own practice / life.
